Employer Type:
Private-for-profit company or business
A company or business that is privately held or publicly traded on the stock market. Examples include Amazon and Allied Universal.
Non-profit organization
Organization that is established to serve individuals and typically does not earn a profit.
Government
A local, state, or federal agency or organization. Examples include the City and County of San Francisco and the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).
Self Employed
Self-employed people are those who work for profit or fees in their own business, profession, or trade. Examples include an Uber driver or Instacart shopper. For self-employed placements, use “Self” for Employer Name.
